9 and 11: Their Magical Properties

The Number 9
In numerology, 9 is a special number.  If you multiply 9 by any number, and I mean any number, and then find the numerological value of that number, it will always be 9.  This is not true for any other number; it is unique to number 9.

Example:
9 x 2 = 18 = 1+8 = 9
9 x 3 = 27 = 2+7 = 9
9 x 4 = 36 = 3+6 = 9
...
9 x 4581 = 41229 = 4+1+2+2+9 = 18 = 1+8 = 9

The other interesting thing about 9, is that if you add any number to 9, the numerology of the sum of those two numbers will always equal the number that you added to 9 in the beginning.  Again, this is not true for any other number.

Example:
2+9 = 11 = 1+1 = 2
3+9 = 12 = 1+2 = 3
4+9 = 13 = 1+3 = 4
....
505 + 9 = 514 = 10 (5+0+5 = 10)

There is also this cool math trick for multiplying by 9 with your fingers.  (Please see the video below)

The Number 11
11 is the pyramid number.  To understand why this is, please imagine a visual representation of the following examples, and how the numbers might be graphed with bars.

Example
11x11 = 121
111x111 = 12321
1111x1111 = 1234321
11111x11111 = 123454321
111111x111111 = 12345654321
This will continue to infinity.

Interesting, is it not?  Don't you wish your math teacher had shown you this when you were a kid?  Perhaps your fascination with numbers would have grown.
