November 28 Revisited: First time since 1888, Last time for 70,000 year

This past Thanksgiving, November 28, 2013, was the first time since 1888 that Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah fell on the same date.  The next it will happen, will be more than 70,000 years from now.  For more on this subject, please read the BBC article here.  Please recall, this was also the date of the curious earthquake in Iran near one of its nuclear energy facilities.  It was also the day the Comet ISON passed earth at its most viewable point.
